Vaping is not the same as smoking. But you already knew that right?
In fact, many smokers are now giving up smoking and signing up to the vape world, which we think is a smarter, healthier decision. Most of us on the Vaper Soul team have been smokers at some point but man are we glad we gave it up.
In no particular order, here are the 10 most awesome things that actually happen when you quit smoking. For reals.
1. You don’t smell
I know smokers like to believe we don’t smell that bad but seriously, you do! Your clothes and your hair smell, all the time. There is a perpetual cloud of smoke and cigarettes that surrounds tobacco smokers and it’s pretty damn stinky. Also as an added bonus, all that smoking gives you really bad breath.
Do yourself a favor, give up smoking and smell like roses. (Ok, maybe not roses… but at least better!)
2. You can actually taste food
The stinky ashtray aura is only the beginning. Most long term smokers gradually tend to lose their sense of taste. You don’t completely lose it, but I can promise you that it feels kind of dull because your mouth permanently tastes of ash so how’s that hotdog ever going to taste any good?
When you quit smoking, the ashy taste begins to make an exit and you suddenly realise how awesome food actually is!
3. You look younger
Smokers often look much, MUCH older than they actually are because smoking really ages your skin.
Eeeep! Who wants to look 45 when they’re 30? Quit today!
4. You have more energy
When you give up your tobacco smoking habit, you not only look younger, you also feel younger.
Your heart rate and your blood pressure start coming back to normal again. Additionally, your lungs start functioning better. All of this combined together give you a lot more energy to be more, to do more than you could ever dream of before!
5. You keep health issues at bay
Smoking is known to cause a number of health problems including but not limited to lung cancer, heart disease and even emphysema. If you’re in the mood to be scared, check out this WebMD article on the various, not commonly known health issues that could be a result of smoking.
Of course there is no guarantee that you’ll turn into Superman if you quit smoking, but there is way too much proof to argue that when you give up smoking, you definitely lessen the risk of certain diseases.
